Aerosol Therapy

Inhalation therapy has been used for the last 2000 years and more, but it was not until the 1950s that the breakthrough in inhalation therapy came with the introduction of metered-dose aerosols. Over the years the therapy has been improved.
Salvia Lifetec was and remains a market leader in the development of aerosol devices. In the 1980s we developed a device that works with positive pressure, allowing inhalation therapy to be optimised. The aerosol can reach parts of the lungs (alveoli) that were previously inaccessible with other devices. The quality of life of patients who undergo treatment with our aerosol devices is infinitely improved. Nowadays aerosol therapy has an important role to play in the treatment of a wide range of pulmonary diseases.
